Kerry Education and Training Board's College of Further Education and Training offers clear routes to employment, further study, third level, and apprenticeships. We offer 180 full-time further education and training programmes and a range of apprenticeship programmes, including the Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship was developed by a consortium of industry representatives and Kerry Education and Training Board as the lead educational provider. The apprenticeship is designed to meet the needs of the growing Irish Renewable and Sustainable Energy sector. It equips apprentices with the knowledge, skills, and competence to inspect and maintain various wind turbine system components, locate, and diagnose faults, replace components and reconfigure systems.
